Hey, so, I wanted to show you just how effective my screenplay feedback tool that I’ve built can be. However, rather than use my own scripts (which I’ve done and it has been quite revealing – sometimes encouraging, always constructive) I thought I’d conduct an experiment with a well known, produced script.

Joker

If you don’t know this film, then, frankly, I give up. For your curiosity, I’ve attached both the screenplay, and a copy of the feedback report.

The Screenplay:

The Feedback:

What it Covers

As you can see, you get a lot of feedback. It generally takes no more than ten minutes from submission to feedback in your inbox. I am not saying this is the definitive feedback and surpasses what a trained, professional, human eye can detect. But, what it can do, is pick out issues before you drop big money on that analogue approach.

It looks at structure, budgeting, character, the story world. It covers a wide breadth of your story and will sing your praises where necessary, but also, what we really need, is criticism delivered in a way that inspires us to tell the best version of the story that we can. I believe this is where this tool is at its best!

What do you think? Want to try it out? You can submit your screenplay here.

For a short while I’m simply trying to cover the cost of hosting, API tokens and so on – your feedback is also valuable so I’d love to hear from you.
